This week’s stats are a perfect example of how misreading the numbers can say something so different from the actual facts! At first glance it looks like we listed slightly more homes than we sold (e.g. 38 listed and 36 sold). The reality is that we did much better than that!
If we add the number of Newly Listed to the Back on the Market we see that 55 homes actually became available for sale. And the number sold are actually homes that closed; homes that were under contract from weeks past.
For our purposes the numbers we compare are the number of new listings added to the homes returning to the market vs. the homes being placed under contract. Using these figures we see that 55 homes were offered for sale and 47 homes were sold (placed into contract).
